One Playout for Every Type of Channel
VideoWorks adapts to any programming format — here are some of the channel types already running on our technology.
VideoWorks Server
VideoWorks Server is YoungTech's next-generation playout, with a fully refactored core that delivers more stability, performance and reliability in 24x7 operation. More than a player, it is the media server that centralizes your broadcaster's entire schedule.
The main screen processes commands and the schedule, while content playback is handled by an extremely lightweight application. Combined with the new automation split into three modules, this architecture ensures that each task uses hardware resources without competing with one another, providing the foundation for Principal/Reserva redundancy.
From input to playout, everything happens on a single platform: ingest and recording, the character generator, streaming, the generation of reports and proof-of-play, and the rundown editor with a Trim function.
Ready for 4K, IP and TV 3.0
VideoWorks Server keeps pace with the evolution of broadcast: it delivers in 4K, works over IP using the SMPTE ST 2110 standard, supports 12G-SDI for high-bandwidth flows and distributes content via streaming. For TV 3.0, it takes on the role of playout and media server of the new ecosystem: it sends video over IP to the TV 3.0 encoder/gateway, keeps the automation, graphics and block triggering already integrated into the playout, and lets you combine broadcast transmission with streaming (broadband) delivery, the foundation of the TV 3.0 hybrid model.
